Our beautiful grizzle girl was bred by Terri Parker and sired by Multi Group Winning CH Karista's Always Mar-Kie Taj-Mahal, out of the import bitch Dabka's Cleopatra Karista (Sweden). DeeDee was well on her way to her championship with several points and multiple wins over specials when she sustained a compound fracture to her front right leg. Dee Dee has made a triumphant return to the show ring, and completed her championship with four majors (including two hound specialty show majors) and multiple breed wins from the classes. Her final points were won at the Central Iowa Kennel Club where she was best of opposite sex over specials for a 3 point major! In her one and only appearance as a special she was best of breed over a major entry under sight hounds authority Mr. Kent Delaney. 

BIS/SBIS CH Elmo's Tutankhamun X CH Charlemagne Arriva An-T Mame.

Kiara is pictured with her breeder, Barb Wayne. She was Wynsyr's first show dog, first champion, and is the foundation behind all of our present dogs.

She was the dam of eight AKC champions, including SBIS and Group winners.

Bowie is the dog that really put Wynsyr on the map. Sired by BIS Ch Scimitar's Traces of Persia (a drifter son), out of Wynsyr's foundation bitch, Ch Charlemagne Kiara (a Tut daughter), Bowie finished his championship at the specialty preceeding the 1992 AHCA National specialty in New Orleans. At that National he was Best in Sweepstakes under Jay Hafford (Thaon) and in the regular classes became one of the youngest dogs to be awarded a National Specialty Award of Merit under Lou Gurrero (Genesis).

Bowie went on to have many more exciting group and specialty wins, including the pictured SBIS at the Southwestern Ohio specialty under Al Weinraub (Sanallah).

Sarah was a highly influential bitch in our breeding program.

She was bred to SBIS/BIS CH Paladin the Dark Man V Isameh and SBIS/BIS CH Naphtali's Caleb Chaldea.

These two litters produced many champions for us including top producers which are still prominent in our pedigrees today.

CH Wynsyr Thief of Heart X CH Charlemagne Kiara.

Tara was another champion from the Shane X Kiara litter and was a champion producer herself.

BIS CH Scimitar's Traces of Persia X CH Charlemagne Kiara.

Ciara was a litter mate to MSBIS CH Wynsyr Wizard of Labyrinth.

Her two litters (sired by SBIS/BIS CH Paladin the Darkman V Isameh and CH Wynsyr Thief of Heart) produced many successful champions.

Fanny is probably one of the most well remembered Wynsyr Afghans. A beautiful daughter of SBIS Ch Paladin The Darkman V Isameh, "Mo", and Ch. Wynsyr Return my heart, Fanny showed her greatness at an early age by winning Best of Opposite Sex at the AHCA Breeder's cup under Israel Garcia (Casa Real). Later in her career she went on the be awarded BOS at the AHCA National specialty under Gerda Kennedy (Shangrila). Fanny was a multiple group winner and multiple specialty best in show winner. She is pictured going BOS under breeder-judge Mara Lynn Mercer (Fox Run). 

Callie is another one of the beautiful bitches produced by the breeding of SBIS Ch Paladin The Darkman V Isameh and Ch Wynsyr Return My Heart. This stunningly typey cream bitch is pictured winning BOS at the Southern Arizona Afghan Hound Association under Sandy Frei (Stormhill). Callie was instrumental in the Wynsyr breeding program through her two litters, which were sired by MSBIS Ch Gazon Say What You Mean (Chevy), and Ch Mahali Kendal Jackson. 

Yet another beautiful bitch from the "Mo" X "Sarah" litter, Cara was owned by Dan Ford and Mike Wright.

She is pictured winning reserve at the Twin Cities Specialty. Her litter brother CH Wynsyr After Dark (also owned by Dan and Mike) was winner's dog at the same specialty.

Dylan is from the successful breeding of BIS/SBIS CH Paladin The Darkman V Isameh & CH Wynsyr Return My Heart.

Owned by our friends Dan Ford and Mike Wright, Dylan finished his title easily with specialty majors.

He was also best puppy at the AHCA National Specialty under breeder-judge June Boone (Kassan). 

Loco is from the litter of BIS/SBIS CH Naphtali's Caleb Chaldea and CH Wynsyr Return My Heart. He is a littermate to CH Wynsyr Alliance.

He is pictured with the late Bruce Sutton of Summerwinds. 

We loved our litter of CH Wynsyr Return My Heart bred to BIS/SBIS CH Paladin the Dark Man V Isameh so much that we decided to also breed him to our CH Wynsyr Wind of Sand.

We got another wonderfully exotic litter, which gave us this gorgeous blue dog, Dogain.

Dogain was co-owned by Rosemary and Bruce Sutton of Summerwinds.

Dogain is the sire of our 2013 litter out of CH Alphaville's Foreign Copy T'Wynsyr.

Madam is from our litter out of BIS/SBIS CH Paladin the Darkman V. Isameh and CH Wynsyr Wind of Sand.

She is a littermate to "Dogain", CH Wynsyr Do It Again.

She is pictured with co-breeder Rosemary Sutton of Summerwinds. 

Sired by Ch. Naphtali's Caleb Chaldea out of Ch Wynsyr Return My Heart, Cassie has been a tremendous asset to Wynsyr. She had two important litters sired by BIS/SBIS Am. Can. Aust. Gr Ch Gengala Sharper Image, and BIS/SBIS Ch Fabelhaft Zoot Suit. A top producing dam of distinction, she produced 11 champions out of a total of 12 puppies, including 3 SBIS winners (Ch. Wynsyr Night on the Serengetti, Ch Wynsyr China Doll, and Ch. Wynsyr Silhouette) and an all-breed BIS winner (Ch. Wynsyr Silhouette). 

Pheobe, the highly patterned daugter of Ch Mahali Kendall Jackson x Ch Wynsyr X-quisit Heart of Zinji, had a stellar class career, finishing with three 5 point specialty majors from the puppy classes. She is pictured winning Best of Opposite Sex at the Milwaukee specialty under Georgie Guthrie (Charikar). She spent her retirement with Caroline Lawler in Maine.

Hunter was China's littermate from the Corbu X Cassie Litter. Shown on a limited basis he had many exciting wins, including SBIS at the St. Louis specialty, under Mr. David Frei (Stormhill). Bred to Ch. Wynsyr Winnie the Blue, he produced a number of champion offspring, including group and specialty winners. His most notable offspring was SBIS Multi Group Winning CH Wynsyr Out of Africa, one of our most important sires.  

Tsavo has been an important stud force at Wynsyr. He is sired by SBIS CH Wynsyr Night On The Serengeti (a Corbu son and China brother) out of CH Wynsyr Winnie The Blue (a daughter of CH Gazon Say What You Mean and CH Wynsyr Kalahari). He has sired many prominent champions including SBIS Multi Group Winning GCH Wynsyr Taking Chances, SBIS Multi Group Winning GCH Wynsyr Shimara The Dark Knight, and our up and coming CH Wynsyr Beachbrook Piano Man. Tsavo produces open, floating movement, proud upright carriage, hard toplines, and exquisite breed detail. We still have a limited amount of frozen semen available.  

Xena (BIS/SBIS Am. Can. Aust. Gr Ch Gengala Sharper Image x Ch. Wynsyr Alliance), was co-owned with Leanne Bowen and Elaine Smith in Canada. She had numerous breed and group wins as well as a specialty best in show and an all breed best in show (pictured under Mr. Roger Hartinger).

Toni is another outstanding bitch from the Kokak X Cassie litter. She is co-owned with Julia Drees (Blue Rose). Following her successful career in the classes, Toni became a great producer. Her first litter, sired by SBIS Ch Wynsyr Out of Africa produced a number of champions, including SBIS Ch Wynsyr Taking Chances. Her most recent litter sired by BIS/SBIS Ch Wynsyr Scimitar's Tyson is currently on the ground and showing great promise.

Ty (Ch. Gazon Say What You Mean X Ch. Wynsyr Kalahari), is pictured finishing his title the day following the 2002 AHCA National. Ty spent his retirement with Caroline Lawler, and many consider him to be one of the greatest Wynsyr Afghans. He is most well known as the sire of the USA's No. 1 Afghan in 2008: BIS/SBIS Ch Wynsyr Scimitar's Tyson.

Tyson was the number 1 Afghan Hound in America in 2008. Sired by our Ch. Wynsyr the Perfect Storm out of Ch. Scimitar's Smoke and Blues, he was piloted to his many wins by Mark Bettis. Tyson is now enjoying his retirement in Texas with co-owners JW & Debbie Rodges. His first two litters are on the ground now so watch for Tyson's legacy to continue in the show ring soon!

Mona (Multi Group Winning Ch Shekinah True Heaven Nazira x Ch Beachbrook's Dance N' With Diamonds) is one of the Afghans that James brought with him when he came to Wynsyr. Bred and co-owned by Tony Saia and Floyd Gale, Mona easily finished her championship with four majors, entirely under breeder judges. She is pictured at the Finger Lakes specialty where she was Winner's Bitch and Award of Merit under Romayne Strilka-Switch (Houn' Hollow). She also won points under Carol Esterkin (Khaftan), Brett Hamilton (Kjavu-Australia), Lotte Jorgenson (Boxadan-Denmark), Jamie Hubbard (Australia), and Nancy Self.
